So tonight I went to a party where a small group of folks get together and watch documentaries. I am OBSESSED with documentaries and always have been. I go to the Nashville Film Festival every year only to see the documentaries. Last year I saw around 20... in 5 days. It got me thinking about my favorite docs of all time...which is really hard to narrow down! Anyways, here's what I came up with. I am SURE I left something out that I love but oh well.....enjoy!
(In no particular order)
What are your favorite documentaries?

Bluegrass State
So this weekend I went to Lexington, Kentucky to visit some friends. I also went to go bet on some fast horses at Keeneland. Here is what I did and what I saw. Enjoy!
This is A La Lucie in Lexington. Amazing food and the best decor!
A La Lucie again. This is from an old drive in in Lexington. I wish I could have captured how big this was!
KEENELAND!
People looking at horses that run really fast. They were so amazing to watch...and very sweaty.
All my betting tickets from Keeneland. No wins but had a blast!
Barrel of horses. Is this kinda like Band of horses?
This was inside of my table at a restaurant in Louisville called Lynn's Paradise Cafe. That orange thing was labeled "Orange Juice Falls".
Lynn's again. I loved the lamps in the trees.
So beautiful!

Doc-tober!
This month is Doc-tober at the Belcourt Theater here in Nashville! I am a HUGH documentary lover and I am beyond excited to see these movies! I think I'm gonna be living at the theater the month of October. Good thing they have booze...and Olive and Sinclair chocolates. Here are my picks!
Some of these are only showing one or two nights so you gotta hustle if you wanna make it to see them!
Below is the link to the Belcourt and you can watch trailers there if your as nerdy as me. Happy Doc-tober!

How to make extensions for a photo shoot in 30 min.
So I needed to make some extensions for a shoot for my friend Amanda Pearl fast!
This is the quick way to get it done!

1. Start with packages of hair. Synthetic will do but no heat on synthetic! These are human hair. You can get them at any ol' ghetto hair store. I always do two colors in the same family (one on top of the other). It just looks prettier.

2. Get some wig clips. The large ones.

3. Clear white weave glue. This stuff always smells yucky but works like a charm!

4. Spread out the hair, measure and cut to the width you want

5. Try to keep you cat off of it.

6. These are the widths I chose. Wider for the back and skinner for the sides.

7.Glue two wefts of hair together to make it stronger. I used yellow and orange hair but you can use whatever.

8. Let dry. They dry kinda fast but overnight is best if you have the time. I didn't have time to sew the clips to these so she will just bobby pin them in. I am going to sew clips on them later. Crisscrossed bobby pins will hold them just fine for a shoot or a night out on the town. What do you guys think? ROCK!- Cali - Posted from my magical iPhone
